Missing Man With Alzheimer's Returns Home

UPDATED: 2:19 p.m.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- An 84-year-old man with Alzheimer's who was reported missing returned home Wednesday afternoon.

Francisco Aceved0 left his home in the 3000 block of North Sawyer Tuesday afternoon on his way to a gas station in Bensenville, police said.

Police say he is in good health after returning home Wednesday afternoon.

The closure of part of Irving Park Road near O'Hare International Airport might have contributed to his disappearance.

Police said Acevedo was on his way to a Citgo gas station in Bensenville, on Irving Park Road, east of Route 83. However, Irving Park Road has been closed for half a mile east of York Road, and that's part of Acevedo's typical route, so his family believes he might have become confused while driving to Bensenville.
