Police Search For Driver In McKinley Park Hit-And-Run

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene of a McKinley Park neighborhood crash that left a man critically wounded last weekend.

A 35-year-old man was hit by an SUV as he was crossing the street in the 3000 block of South Ashland around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, according to police. As of Monday night, the man was in critical condition.

The driver fled south on Ashland before turning onto Archer after the man was struck, police said.

The vehicle was described as a large white SUV with damage to the driver's side bumper or fender, police said.
