Police: Robbers Steal Puppy At Knifepoint On Orange Line Train

(CBS) -- A rider on the CTA Orange Line carrying a puppy had it stolen by two men, one armed with a knife, early Wednesday, police said.

The train was headed to the 35th and Archer stop around midnight when two men approached the victim, police said. One of the robbers threatened the victim with a knife while they other took the dog, which was in a pink dog carrier.

The robbers exited the train at the 35th and Archer stop and were pursued by the victim, who was unable to catch up.

Police are examining surveillance video but did not immediately have a detailed description of the robbers.
