Police Respond To Barricade Situation In Gage Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 16-year-old boy armed with a gun has barricaded himself inside a home in the Gage Park neighborhood.
Police have closed off streets near the 3400 block of West 54th Street, and at least one nearby school was placed on lockdown, after police received a call of a male barricaded inside the home at 9:15 a.m.
The teen was threatening to harm himself, police said.
A SWAT team has responded to the scene.
Further details were not available late Wednesday morning.
