Police Question 4 In Bridgeport Arson Fires

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Detectives were questioning four people Tuesday in connection with a series of arson fires in the Bridgeport neighborhood.

Multiple fires were reported in the Bridgeport neighborhood early Tuesday, starting around 1:40 a.m. at a garage in the 2900 block of South Canal Street, police said.

Shortly after that fire, three fires were found burning in garbage cans in the alley just west of the 3000 block of South Union Avenue.

Police were reviewing surveillance video of four possible suspects in the fires, and detectives with the Police Bomb and Arson Unit were questioning four people Tuesday morning.
