Police: Person Shot To Death In South Side Garage

CHICAGO (STMW) --A man was shot to death Sunday morning in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood.

The 41-year-old man was shot in the back about 11:35 a.m. in a garage in the 9200 block of South Emerald Avenue, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 12:35 p.m., authorities said.

Details on the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
