Police: No 'Major' Injuries In Lake Shore Drive Rollover Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) -- No major injuries were reported after a rollover crash involving three vehicles occurred on Lake Shore Drive downtown Tuesday night, police said.

About 9:20 p.m., a Nissan SUV and Land Rover, both were traveling south on Lake Shore Drive near Monroe Street when the two vehicles side-swiped each other, police said.

One of the two vehicles then hit an Infiniti G35 that was trying to turn south on to Lake Shore Drive from Monroe, police said.

The driver of the Nissan, a 36-year-old woman, and the driver of the Land Rover, a 63-year-old woman, were both taken to Northwestern Hospital, police said. Both are expected to be treated and released.

The driver of the Infiniti refused medical treatment, police said. No citations will be issued in the crash.
