Police: Motorcyclist Killed, Two Injured In I-57 Crash On Far South Side

(STMW) -- A motorcyclist was killed and two other people were injured in a crash on I-57 late Saturday on the Far South Side, police said.

The motorcycle and two vehicles collided about 11:55 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-57 near 119th Street, according to Illinois State Police.

The driver of the motorcycle, a man whose exact age was not known, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality early Sunday.

The motorcyclist's passenger, a woman whose age wasn't known, was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

A woman driving one of the vehicles suffered minor injuries and was taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available as Illinois State Police investigate.
