Police: Man Stabbed To Death In Possible Home Invasion

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A West Side man was stabbed to death at his home in the Austin neighborhood during a possible home invasion Tuesday morning, police said.

Authorities found 32-year-old Paul Carter with stab wounds at his home in the 5000 block of West Gladys Avenue about 9:45 a.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Carter was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died at 4:18 p.m., authorities said.

Police said Carter was stabbed during a "possible" home invasion. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

No one is in custody early Wednesday as Area North detectives investigate.
