Man Killed In West Pullman Shooting

(STMW) --A man was shot to death early Sunday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 1:55 a.m., the 25-year-old was a passenger in the front seat of a parked car with two other males in the 12200 block of South Racine when another male walked up and fired shots, police said.

The man was shot in the right side of the head and the driver took him to a Calumet Park police station less than a mile away, police said.

He was then taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, where he was pronounced dead at 2:27 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. His name was withheld Sunday afternoon.

No one else was injured in the shooting, police said.
