Gary Man Shot To Death In Roseland, Suspect In Custody

(STMW) --A man from Gary, Indiana was killed in a domestic-related shooting Saturday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Corey Ferguson, 32, was involved in a fight with a 55-year-old man at 10:23 a.m. in the 11200 block of South Normal, when the man pulled out a gun and shot Ferguson in the chest, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 11:16 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 1500 block of Ralston Street in Gary.

Investigators have taken the man into custody and charges against him were pending Sunday morning.
