Police: Man Shot To Death In East Garfield Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot to death early Saturday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, according to Chicago Police.

Officers responding to reports of shots fired at 3:21 a.m. found the 31-year-old man lying in an alley in the 100 block of South California, according to Chicago Police. He had been shot in the head, left arm and left leg.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
