Police: Man Shot Dead In Chatham

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot dead after an argument early Sunday in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

At 3:20 a.m., the 40-year-old man was arguing with an acquaintance who pulled out a gun and opened fire in the 7800 block of South Michigan, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Storger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the death.
