Man Killed In Uptown Shooting

(STMW) -- A man was shot to death Saturday afternoon in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

About 5:05 p.m., Demarcus Adams, 28, was standing outside in the 4600 block of North Malden when someone walked up and shot him in the back and leg, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The shooter drove off in a silver car, police said.

Adams, of the 4400 block of North Racine, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:44 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

Police said the shooting may have been gang-related
