Police: Man Killed In Near West Side Shooting

(STMW) -- A man died after being shot on the Near West Side Sunday afternoon, police said.

The 22-year-old showed up with a gunshot wound at Stroger Hospital about 12:20 p.m. after the shooting in the 2100 block of West Warren, police said.

He was later pronounced dead, police said. Details on the circumstances of the shooting weren't immediately available.

The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
