Police: Man Killed In Englewood Drive-By
(STMW) -- A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood, police said.
Someone inside a blue vehicle fired several shots at the man at 3:48 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Carpenter, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.
The man, 18, was shot in the shoulder and lower chest, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he later died, police said.
The man killed was a documented gang member, a police source said.
