Police: Man Impersonating Uber Driver Sexually Assaults 2 Women

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 33-year-old Glenview man is accused of posing as an Uber driver, picking up women in Chicago, and sexually assaulting them in a suburb.

Musaab S. Afandi was being held without bond on aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault charges.

Skokie police say Afandi impersonated an Uber driver when he picked up a woman in the 2500 block of North Halsted in Chicago on Feb. 12.

He allegedly drove her to a neighborhood in Skokie and sexually assaulted her in the car.

Afandi committed a similar crime early Sunday. A woman tells police she got into his car after leaving a Wrigleyville bar and was assaulted in a quiet neighborhood.

Afandi was arrested Monday.
