Police: Man Broke Into Gage Park Home, Exposed Himself To Teen Girl

(STMW) -- Bond was set at $500,000 on Friday for a man charged with breaking into a Gage Park neighborhood home and exposing himself to a sleeping teenage girl early Thursday.

Jose Garcia Jr., 36, was charged with one count each of home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to Chicago Police.

About 4 a.m., Garcia entered the home in the 3000 block of West 56th Street and found the 16-year-old girl sleeping on a couch, police said.

Garcia, of the 5200 block of South Rockwell, then exposed himself to the girl before fleeing, police said.

Officers arrested him shortly after. The girl was treated and released from Holy Cross Hospital.

A judge ordered Garcia held on a $500,000 bond, according to the Cook County sheriff's office. He is next due in court Aug. 13.
