Police: Man broke Into Burbank Home, Tugged On Sleeping Female's Clothes

(STMW) -- A female woke up to an unknown man tugging on her clothes after apparently breaking into her southwest suburban Burbank home early Saturday.

The female--whose exact age was not immediately identified Saturday morning--was sleeping about 4:45 a.m. at her home in the 8300 block of Laporte Avenue when she was woken by a man "tugging on her shirt and pants," according to a statement from Burbank police.

The female screamed, getting the attention of several other people in the house, police said.

The intruder, a white man described as about 35 years old, standing between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 to 200 pounds, ran out of the home and drove off in a full-size white panel van parked on the block, according to police.

The van was last seen headed eastbound on 84th Street, police said.

No one was hurt, according to the statement.

There were no signs of forced entry, and police think the man entered through an unlocked front door.

Burbank police are investigating. Anyone with information should call (708) 924-7300.
