Police: Man Arrested After Pulling Out Gun In Police Station Parking Lot

(CBS) -- Chicago Police say they arrested a man who pulled a gun on the parking lot of a police station this morning.

It occurred at about 7 a.m. at the 5th District police station in the 700 block of East 111th Street in the Pullman neighborhood.

A police spokeswoman says a 28-year-old man pulled out a handgun on the parking lot of the police station and then left and got about a block away and that's where officers took him into custody.

Initial reports said the man was trying to rob somebody on the parking lot of the police station, but officers could not confirm that.

Charges expected later today.
