Police Issue Alert After Robberies Reported Near Wrigley Field

(CBS) -- Chicago Police have issued a community alert about a string of robberies on the North Side, including several near Wrigley Field.

Police say each of the robberies, multiple male offenders approached the victim on the street or alley and stole their wallets and mobile phones.

The robberies took place in the 3600 block of N. Sheffield on Oct. 10 at 3:00 a.m., the 3600 block of N. Clark on Oct. 10 at 11 p.m., the 1100 block of W. Addison on Oct. 11, 2:40 a.m. and the 2800 block of N. Ashland at on Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The description of the robbers varies from incident to incident, but involve men in their 20s. In the Addison robbery, one of the robbers had dreadlocks, one wore a black baseball cap and both wore black jackets and blue jeans.
