Police Investigating Possible Sightings Of Missing Park Forest Woman

(CBS) -- Police in south suburban Park Forest who are looking for a missing mother of six say there have been two possible sightings in the past few days.

It was 10 days ago when 31-year-old Brenda Jackson was last seen at her home in Park Forest, where she was dropped off by her father, police say.

Her mother and her husband reported her missing two days later.

Park Forest Deputy Police Chief Christopher Mannino says there was a possible sighting of Jackson over the weekend on the South Side of Chicago - and another on Monday in Berwyn.

"Certainly our hope, our continued hope, is that she has simply left on her own and that we'll find her somewhere and will be able to reunite her with her family or at least give her family some answers," he said.

Mannino says Brenda Jackson left her purse - with credit cards - at home, but is believed to have her cell phone with her. She has apparently not used that phone.

Jackson has served in the U.S. Army.
