Police Investigating Another Incident Of Racial Slurs Heard On CPD Radio Frequency

(CBS) -- Racial slurs were heard again on a Chicago Police radio Tuesday afternoon.

This would be at least the fourth time in less than two weeks a racial slur has been heard on the Chicago Police radio system.

On Tuesday, the person repeated the N-word a number of times.

A Chicago Police spokesman says police are "actively investigating" with the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications and the FCC - the Federal Communications Commission.

Police have said about other recent incidents that they believe the transmission came from "unauthorized" radios and that there was no evidence that whoever broadcast the racial slurs is a city employee.
