Police Investigate Man's Stabbing Death

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A death investigation is underway after a man who was found stabbed in his North Side home died early Thursday.

Jose Andrade, 46, was found with multiple stab wounds in his home in the 4100 block of North Western Avenue on Wednesday evening, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Andrade was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead after surgery at 3:39 a.m. Thursday, the medical examiner's office said.

The death is being investigated as a possible suicide, according to police and the medical examiner's office.

Area North detectives are investigating.
