Police Fire Shots After Witnessing Offenders Shooting At Crowd In Englewood

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Police discharged weapons after witnessing two offenders shooting at a crowd in Englewood.

The incident took place in the 200 block of West 63rd Street just before 2:30 a.m.

The offender were no struck by police and fled on foot to the 6400 block of South Yates Boulevard before entering a black SUV.

Police said two weapons were recovered at the scene at Yates Boulevard, but no one is in custody at this time.

Area South detectives are investigating.
