Police: Female Stabbed To Death In Morgan Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman died after suffering a stab wound Tuesday morning in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side, according to Chicago Police.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of West 108th Place at 6:11 a.m. and found the 49-year-old woman with a small puncture wound to the shoulder, according to police. She was also highly intoxicated.

The woman was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said there were no signs of a struggle at the scene and witnesses were not cooperating.

No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
