Police: Boy, 16, Shot And Killed In Chicago Lawn
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side Wednesday evening, police said.
About 6:20 p.m., the teen was in the 3000 block of West 71st Street when he was shot in the shoulder, police said. Witnesses saw the teen run into a backyard before collapsing.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office could not confirm the death Wednesday night.
