Police: Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Humboldt Park

(STMW) -- A 60-year-old bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle Monday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

The cyclist was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of North Kolin Avenue and West LeMoyne Street at 9:50 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The 60-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

The driver stayed at the scene and was not injured, police said. The Major Accidents Investigation Unit is handling the case.
