Pleasant Spring Bursting Back On The Scene This Week

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Enjoyable spring weather might have been a bit late in arriving in Chicago, but thankfully it's going to stick around for a while.

Over the next week, you can get used to a lot of sun, not a drop of rain in sight, and temperatures getting warmer with each passing day.

Tuesday's high will be about 10 degrees below normal, reaching around 48 by the afternoon, and overnight temperatures will be chilly, dipping back into the low 30s.

However, Wednesday's temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s inland, Thursday's temperatures could hit the low 60s, and by the next week, highs could be up in the 70s.

Each day, temperatures will be much cooler by the lake, thanks to a breeze off the water, but it will still be pleasant, with highs 7 to 12 degrees lower than inland.

It will also be dry all across the board this week, mostly clear skies through the start of next week.
