Plainfield Police Investigate Series Of Drive-By Shootings

(CBS) – Police in southwest suburban Plainfield are investigating a series of drive-by shootings on a residential street.

The shootings both occurred before 7 a.m. on Sunday and Monday in the 2300 block of Arbor Creek Drive. In each instance, a suspect in a passing vehicle fired two to three shots, striking the same residence, Plainfield police said.

Police offered these descriptions of the vehicles: a silver Mitsubishi Endeavor SUV for the Monday shooting; a white Chevrolet Equinox SUV for the Sunday shooting.
