Pete Rose's Analysis On The Cubs Is All Over The Map

(CBS) We physically know where disgraced baseball legend and Fox Sports 1 analyst Pete Rose has been after the first two games of the National League Championship Series. He's been on the FS1 postgame set, which sits on the block just northeast of Wrigley Field.

It's anyone's guess where he is mentally.

After the Cubs won Game 1 against the Dodgers on a strength of a pinch-hit grand slam by Miguel Montero, Rose predicted the Cubs would sweep. Along with that, he also had a gem of a thought in which he indicated he respected how the Cubs -- after winning an MLB-best 103 regular-season games -- went into every game expecting to win.

Then, after the Cubs lost 1-0 in Game 2 due to the brilliance of Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw -- one of the greatest pitchers the game has ever seen -- Rose had no clue how the Cubs won 103 regular-season games.

"I don't know how they won 103 games swinging the bats like that," Rose said.

"There's just no offense in this Cubs' dugout."

For the record, the Cubs were the third-highest scoring team in baseball this season.
