Pet Store Pleads: Help Us Find Cat-Nappers

(CBS) – A south suburban pet store hopes surveillance photos can help them find a pair of "cat-nappers."

Police say the two suspects asked to play with a kitten at Petland in Chicago Ridge on Black Friday.

The woman then handed the kitten to the man, and he stuffed it inside his coat and walked out.

The stolen kitten is a calico cat with orange and black spots, about 9 ½ weeks old.

The store manager says she's worried about the animal's safety.

"Can they actually afford the medical bills? Can they afford for this animal to be taken care of like it should be?" Stacey O'Connell says.

If you have information, call Chicago Ridge Police.
