Pet Shop Seeks Return Of Boxer Puppy

(CBS) -- A Naperville pet store says one of its puppies was stolen by a would-be customer.

Petland Naperviller owner Adam Stachowiak says a man and two women entered the store around 5 p.m. Friday and asked to play with puppies.

The man played with a three-month-old female Boxer named Precious, and the women played with smaller dogs. The two women distracted staff while the man left the store with Precious.

The entire group was gone in less than 5 minutes.

"Our main concern is the health and safety of the dog.  We would like to see Precious returned as soon as possible and the people responsible prosecuted," Stachowiak said in a release.

The dog is micro-chipped.
