Person On Tracks Halts Green Line Trains On South Side

(CBS) -- Some CTA Green Line trains were halted for more than an hour Saturday night because of a person on the tracks on the South Side.

Trains between the Roosevelt and Garfield stops were temporarily suspended following the emergency call, which came around 8:30 p.m.

A person was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious to critical condition, the Chicago Fire Department said. Little information was available about what may have happened at the southbound Green Line platform at 35th Street/Bronzeville.

It is the second major service disruption on the Green Line on Saturday. Part of the Green Line was shut down for nearly three hours this morning after a man was found dead on the tracks near the Pulaski station at 4000 W. Lake St.
