Person found dead at scene of house fire in Crystal Lake, Illinois
A person was found dead Sunday afternoon in a burning house Crystal Lake, Illinois, northwest of Chicago.
At 3:22 p.m., the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was called to the house at 65 Della St., for a report of billowing smoke.
Responding firefighters found light smoke coming from the house, and found a small fire inside. They also found a dead person in the aera of the fire.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire and secured the fire scene for investigators and law enforcement.
The fire was under investigation late Sunday.
