Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Freight Train In Glen Ellyn

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A person was fatally struck by a Union Pacific freight train around 10:25 a.m. Monday in Glen Ellyn, according to fire officials.

The Glen Ellyn Fire Department said the incident took place at Cumnor Avenue and Ellenwood Drive.

The pedestrian who was struck by the train has died, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office

The only railroad crossing affected by this incident is Finley Road south of Crescent Boulevard.
