Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle, Critically Injured In Logan Square

(STMW) -- A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and critically injured Friday evening in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 38-year-old man was hit about 7:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Shakespeare, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical "but stable" condition, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene and was expected to be issued a traffic citation, police said.
