Pedestrian Critically Injured In West Side Hit-And-Run

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck and critically injured a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash late Sunday in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.

About 11:50 p.m., a 38-year-old man was in the crosswalk on Division Street at Pulaski Road when he was hit by a dark-colored vehicle, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The vehicle continued eastbound on Division, and the man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Greer said.

The police Major Accidents Investigations Unit is handling the incident.
