Passenger Bites Off Part Of Man's Ear On Orange Line Platform

(STMW) -- The top of a man's ear was bitten off by another passenger on a Southwest Side CTA Orange Line platform Friday evening.

It happened during a scuffle about 6:15 p.m. at the Western station at 4901 S. Western Ave., according to Chicago Police.

The bitten man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. His exact age and condition weren't immediately known.

Trains briefly were delayed about 10 minutes due to the incident, according to the CTA.
