Parts Of Lake Shore, Grand To Close For Navy Pier Flyover Work

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Parts of Lake Shore Drive will be closed downtown Tuesday as crews work to place concrete decks for the Navy Pier Flyover Lakefront Trail.

The eastern lane of northbound upper Lake Shore Drive will be closed between Illinois and Grand from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a statement from the Chicago Department of Transportation.

One westbound lane will also be closed on Grand in addition to the right turn lane onto the ramp to Lake Shore, CDOT said. The northbound onramp from Grand to Lake Shore will also be closed. Two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane of Grand will remain open.

Drivers on Grand trying to access Lake Shore will be detoured via Columbus and Wacker, according to CDOT.
