One In Custody For Carpentersville Stabbing

(STMW) -- One person was taken into custody early Saturday after a man was stabbed in northwest suburban Carpentersville.

Officers responding to a call of a disturbance and a possible stabbing about 5:50 a.m. found a man who had been stabbed in a home in the 2200 block of Teepee Avenue, according to a statement from the Carpentersville Police Department.

He was taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin, where he underwent surgery and his condition stabilized, police said.

Witnesses to the stabbing remained at the scene and one person was taken into custody, police said.
