One Dead, One Wounded In West Englewood Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in the West Englewood neighborhood late Thursday, police said.

One man, thought to be in his 20s, was found shot in the head shortly before midnight in a vacant lot in the 6500 block of South Ashland, police said. He was dead at the scene.

Another man, 29, was shot in the right leg and taken to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said.
