Off-Duty Chicago Police Officer Dies After Motorcycle Crash

CHICAGO (CBS) -- An off-duty Chicago police officer has died, after a motorcycle crash earlier this week in the Washington Heights neighborhood.

Tuesday afternoon, 35-year-old Jonathan Ho was riding a motorcycle at 95th Street and Vincennes Avenue, when it collided with another vehicle, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner's office.

The 62-year-old man driving the other vehicle in the crash was cited for failure to yield, driving on a suspended license and driving without proof of insurance, according to police.

Police were still awaiting toxicology results. Area South detectives were investigating.
