Oddsmaker Adjusts Cubs' Over/Under Wins Total To A Staggering 116.5

One oddsmaker has reacted accordingly.

William Hill has adjusted its Cubs over/under win total to a staggering 116.5.

There's significance to the 116.5 line. The MLB record for wins in a season is 116, shared by the 1906 Cubs and the 2001 Seattle Mariners. Those Cubs went 116-36, while those Mariners went 116-46.

The Cubs are currently on a 119-win pace. They also boast a plus-68 run differential in just 19 games, which easily outpaces the Cardinals' plus-40 mark that's second-best in the league.
