Oak Park Police Respond To Report Of Home Invasion, Woman Tied Up

(CBS) -- Police in west suburban Oak Park responded Thursday evening to reports that an intruder broke into the home of an elderly woman and tied her up before fleeing.

The incident occurred in the 1000 block of South Oak Park Avenue, CBS 2's Mike Parker reports. The victim is believed to be a 72-year-old woman. Reports indicate she called police to say an intruder had tied her up. It wasn't immediately clear how she was able to contact authorities, but additional reports say police at the scene were met by a neighborhood dog walker.

Neighbors expressed shock at the reports.
