NU's Venric Mark Granted Fifth Year Of Eligibility
(CBS) -- Northwestern running back and return man Venric Mark has been granted a fifth year of eligibility after the Big Ten approved his medical hardship waiver.
Mark saw limited action in 2013 due to multiple injuries, with his last appearance coming Oct. 12 in a game against Wisconsin where he fractured his ankle in the first quarter.
In 2012, the All-American punt returner rushed for 1,366 yards and twelve touchdowns.
