North Chicago man found shot in Waukegan parking lot, police say
WAUKEGAN, Ill. (CBS) – Police in Waukegan are searching for the gunman who fired more than 50 shots outside a strip mall Friday night.
Around 6 p.m. bullets pierced the windows of a barber shop in the 1400 block of Golf Road.
A man in his 20s from North Chicago was wounded but is expected to survive.
It is unclear if he was inside the barber shop at the time.
Detectives believe he was targeted.
No one is in custody and the case remains open and active. Anyone with information is asked to call the Waukegan Police Department tip line at 847-360-9001.
