Nonverbal, Disabled Man Missing From Chatham

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man who suffers from a cognitive disability has been reported missing from the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

Maurice Thompson, 37, was last seen Monday near the intersection of 79th and Stewart, police said.

Thompson, who is nonverbal, was described as a black man, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 140 pounds, police said. He has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue Chicago Bears hooded sweatshirt, a black t-shirt and red pants, police said.
