No Tickets? Cubs Faithful At Progressive Field Dare To Dream

CLEVELAND (CBS) – There was no sleeping in for World Series ticket seekers outside Progressive Field on Wednesday.

The line of hopefuls started early and kept on going, CBS 2's Dana Kozlov reports, ahead of the evening's Game 7 between the Cubs and Indians.

"I'm a Cubs fan, so I'll hope," one Chicagoan said.

"We're going to get in there," another Cubs-bedecked fan insisted.

In part for their friend Paul Kim, a Chicago native who came all the way from South Korea.

"I kind of made a deal to myself and everybody I work with that if the Cubs are ever in it in October, see ya," he said. "You can give me the time off or I'm going to quit. But I'm going home to Chicago to root my Cubbies on."

Other fans had standing-room-only tickets and queued up early in hopes of getting a good spot inside.

Dan Heffernan of Burlington, Ill., was first in line and brought a bucket to use as a makeshift seat.

"Waiting for probably the most exciting thing in my life," he told Kozlov.
