No Injuries In Back Of The Yards Building Collapse

CHICAGO (STMW) -- No injuries were reported after a building collapsed early Monday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Firefighters responded to the building collapse at 4835 S. Ashland Av. came in about 3:15 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs

No one was in the two-story building that housed a pawn shop and apartments, but some residents in the area were displaced and warming bus was ordered to the scene, fire officials said.

The CTA announced at 3:30 a.m. that No. 9 Ashland buses were temporarily rerouted in both directions via Ashland, 47th, Damen, 51st, and Ashland.
